Does The Balsam Institute for Healing accept insurance?

Unfortunately, No. Establishing a cash base practice is the only way to keep the costs low enough for people to afford. The Functional Medicine approach to healthcare is not recognized by most insurance companies yet.

​​What are the costs involved?

As a member, you have access to the Far Infrared Sauna, Adaptive Exercise with Oxygen Therapy (EWOT), Ozone Sauna, online resources, nutritional counsel and communication with your practitioner. All follow up appointments are included in your membership dues. Additionally, you will have access to other ozone therapies for a fee. Couples and Family membership programs available.

Why have a membership program?

​The path to wellness is not necessarily an easy path to walk. You will have questions along the way and will also need specific resources to enhance your healing. The Balsam Institute for Healing offers to partner with you during your healing process by providing you with the resources you need to accomplish your health goals.

​​What can I expect at my appointments?

​Your initial appointment will last 2+ hours depending on your health history, current health status and goals. At that time, you will be given resources to start Phase 1 of your healing process. Your next appointment is usually scheduled for 3 months. In between appointments, you will have access to tools such as EWOT (exercise with oxygen therapy), Far Infrared Sauna and Ozone Sauna Therapy to aid in healing. Members will also have access to online resources such as recipes and other supportive aids to help you implement your new lifestyle.

​How long will this process take?

It has been our experience that it generally takes at least one year of committed effort to restore harmony to the gut, endocrine and nervous systems. Our 12-month partnership with you gives us time to work thoroughly to address these issues without overwhelming you
